A Visit to Our Class from George Baikie

On the 8th of June a man called George came in and talked to us about farming in Orkney. We got to hold some cow food - barley, clovers and grass. When I held the silage and sniffed my hand it smelt. We saw pictures on the smart board of cows, calves, tractors, cheese, milk, fields, hares and rabbits. Some of the girls got to take stuff home. The cow foods were sort of brown blackish.

We made farm buildings a few weeks a go and we turned them into a class farm. My group made a sheep and goat shed. After we made them we painted them. We painted our sheep and goat's shed brown. We put pens in separate bit inside the shed so the animals don't go into each other's pens. It was fun making the shed.
